Ginting Jaya Energi (WOWS) Secures Rp300 Billion Contract, Optimistic About 2026 Outlook

Bisnis.com, PALEMBANG – PT Ginting Jaya Energi Tbk (WOWS), a company engaged in oil and gas supporting services, particularly workover (WO) and well service (WS) activities, has successfully secured a work contract worth Rp300 billion from Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) for 2025.

Ginting Jaya Energi’s President Director, Jimmy Hidayat, stated that this strategic contract reflects the strong trust of business partners in the company’s performance and capabilities in delivering high-quality services and solutions. “This achievement is expected to contribute positively to the company’s revenue and profitability throughout 2025,” he said in a press release on Friday (September 5, 2025).

Heading into 2026, Jimmy explained that Ginting Jaya Energi has prepared several key strategic measures.

Securing New Projects and Contract Extensions.
“We aim to expand our contract portfolio and broaden the scope of our operations,” he said.

Strengthening Operational Capabilities.
The company will optimize its fleet, equipment, and human resources to enhance efficiency and service quality.

Commitment to Sustainability.
“We prioritize environmentally responsible business practices and support the government’s sustainable development initiatives,” he emphasized.

Increasing Shareholder Value.
The focus is on maintaining sound financial performance and delivering long-term value to investors.

“With a strong foundation built from our 2025 achievements, we are optimistic that 2026 will be a period of more aggressive and sustainable growth,” he added.

Market Outlook for Workover (WO) and Well Service (WS)

According to Jimmy, the workover and well service sector holds significant growth potential, in line with the government’s target to increase national oil production to 1 million barrels per day by 2029–2030 to strengthen national energy security.

The government has also issued the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation (Permen ESDM) No. 14/2025 concerning Cooperative Management of Oil and Gas Work Areas to Enhance Oil and Gas Production. This regulation provides a clear legal framework to manage the thousands of community-operated oil wells across the country.

South Sumatra (Sumsel) is among the regions with the largest number of such wells in Indonesia—21,400 out of 33,000 recorded and reported wells to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. This figure highlights the remarkable oil and gas potential in the Land of Sriwijaya.
